Brazilian Hammock

The Brazilian hammocks are handmade or machine sown with the finest cotton. Natural fibers allows your body to breath better, this translates into a fresh and comfortable fit. When they are handmade they can be cross sown, these are usually so sturdy and beautiful most are luxury items, they are soft on your back, but strong enough to support a large amount of weight. They are decorative and invite everyone to rest, always beckoning, always inviting.

Brazilian hammocks can be as large as 7'6" and some hold a weight of 250 kilograms. There is practically one for every use you want to give them, single, couple or family. Just keep in mind you will need a lot of garden space for the larger hammocks.

When you wash these hammocks be careful of entanglements, they are tied on both ends. They are best taken care of with a soft detergent. After you have washed your hammock you can hang it to dry. Ironing will be difficult and there will be not to much point to it, so just brush it lightly. Fold gently and in an orderly manner, if you just tangle the treads you will have to waste a lot of time the next time you want to use it.

Cotton can last for a very long time, but you have to protect it against mildew and sun. If the fiber stays wet for a long time, you will end up with a smelly hammock. Also, long exposure to sunlight will make colors fade and the hammock will deteriorate. You can store in a dry place during extreme weather conditions. If you take good care of your Brazilian hammock it will last for several years looking like new.

There are installation kits which will be useful for your Brazilian hammock. Set it up inside your house, outside near the pool or within reach of a tree. With some you will only need to tighten and will not hurt the tree trunk, with others you will have to use a long nail through the tree. Make sure support is secure, a hammock that is tied to a loose structure or not tighten properly will simply loosen and make the hammock unsafe. It's not a high fall, but the surprise to somebody totally relaxed will be scary, always take the necessary precautions for your safety and others.

Brazilian hammocks are produced in the cost region on the Atlantic, and is a very old tradition that has made the people expert producers.
