Hennessy Hammock
Hennessy Hammocks are the latest in lightweight, compact, inexpensive shelters and the ultimate expedition equipment gear. It is the first hammock that does not cause you to lose your balance while entering the hammock.
Hennessy Hammocks are an integrated sleep system. While their use is easy, their use is not always intuitive. This is especially true of some features, like the bottom entrance slit. Another feature is the back support almost like a quality mattress off the ground. No more aching muscles and stiff joints from sleeping on the hard ground and no more carrying a heavy tent. It is very easy to enter and exit the hammock: the system is ingenious and is designed to make zippers unnecessary by using Velcro to seal the entrance. You don't have to unfasten or go to a number of layers to get in, you simply get inside from an opening underneath. When laying inside the hammock, the fabric tenses up and closes tightly and then the Velcro provides additional help to keep bugs out and the hammock closed. Another great feature is that you'll never fall off; this hammock is designed so you can't tip over and end in the ground due to the secure balancing on the ropes.
Hennessy hammocks are a terrific device and are one of the greatest things that have happened to the backcountry external frame backpack.
The Hennessy hammock is a great product and has revolutionized the way to do camping, opening up whole new possibilities when there isn't a good place to camp. When there are no trees or other supports, they are superior to a bivy sack when used as a tent on the ground. One can experience a level of comfort on the trail almost as good as a bed at home and perhaps even better. You wake up in the morning feeling great.
The Hennessy hammock has a totally new design for camping hammocks. It has been used and tested in Canada, the U.S., Central and South America, and Africa. It is placed above floor level, so camp can be set almost anywhere, even on a river or over muddy ground. This hammock closes tightly and will not let insects through, avoiding insect related diseases such as malaria. And don't worry about rain because its totally waterproof and nothing can get wet.
You can use it for:
-Hiking in the local hills as an emergency shelter.
-Bicycle trips across the continent.
-Protection from malaria-carrying mosquitoes while sleeping in tropical and sub-tropical areas.
-Increased protection from wind, rain, sun, black flies, mosquitoes, poisonous insects and small reptiles.
-Hunting, fishing, kayaking, expeditions in the tropics and African safaris.
